this afternoon i cruised down to officeworks to get some pens in preparation for exams. so off to the pen aisle i went BUT THERE WERE SO MANY PENS. all i wanted was a pen that was affordable, comfortable, and produced clear strokes with no smudging. i decided to take a stab and went with papermate inkjoy 100 1.0mm. oh my god what a treasure i have found! the triangular shaped body allowed for a surprisingly ergonomic grip. colors are bold, ink transfer is very responsive and does not smudge! however the pen design overall is quite bland and leaves something to be desired.

D in the new gq. september is the guess though for all we know it could be another year. but you know what? it doesn’t even matter to me. if he actually pulls this album off, and its half as good as what ?uestlove reckons, all this wait, all the shit hes gone thru with the law+drugs+weight might actually make this album better than anything he couldve given us any time soon after voodoo. i feel like it could give this album a cool story. yeah, an album of ‘really love’ type songs wouldve been nice but im hoping for a lot more. in 2000 he reminded us of what soul music meant and in 2012 we need that reminder more than ever. the radio has no hint of funk/soul/gospel, just big corporation crafted music manufactured for the masses. while thats all fine, i have nothing against mainstream music and ill happily sit thru a pitbull or flo rider song if i have to, the way the music scene is today its hard for artists to stay creative and not just follow a formula to make another pop song for kids to get drunk to like a thug up in the club lookin 4 love. we need real niggas like d’angelo and lauryn hill to come back with the good shit.
